OVER 50,000 VISITORS AT ‘SABUGAL’S NATIVITY SCENE’

From December 6th to January 12th, Largo da Fonte once again hosted the ‘Sabugal’s Nativity Scene – The Largest Natural Nativity Scene…’, intended to attract more visitors to the county, involve the locals and act as a source of pride for the citizens. It also performs an important role in the promotion and dissemination of the territory.

More than 50,000 visitors have surprised their senses with the recreation of the Belém Nativity Scene, the ‘Christmas Street Market’ and the natural Christmas decorations, that adorned the city streets, as well as the exhibition of nativity scenes made out of wooden pallets, a display of works by schools and the county’s welfare institutions, entitled ‘Christmas in Beauty, Preserves Nature’.

For over a month, the program has included a diverse set of family-friendly initiatives (eco-ice rink, theatre performances, children’s entertainment in the ‘Elf Grove’, magic shows, music concerts, show cooking…).

Also, part of the event’s schedule, it should be noted that Sabugal welcomed 2020 with a New Year’s Eve party that featured a lot of music, entertainment and a spectacular firework display.

Our THANK YOU to all who contributed to the success of the ‘Sabugal’s Nativity Scene’, whose next edition will be held next to the imposing Cinco Quinas Castle.
