SORTELHA AWARDED WITH THE PRIZE FIVE STARS REGIONS 2019

Sortelha Historical Village is the winner of the 2nd edition of the Five Star Regions Prize, as one of the regional icons of national reference, in the category ‘Villages and Towns’.

The Municipality of Sabugal welcomes this well-deserved award awarded to Sortelha, an appreciation that praises this Historical Village, its people and its visitors, as well as the Sabugal county.

According to the organization of this competition, the Five Star Regions Award is “an evaluation system that identifies the best that exists in each of the 20 districts (including autonomous regions) at the level of natural resources, gastronomy, art and culture, heritage and other regional icons of national reference, as well as reward Portuguese companies that make a difference at regional level”.

Through national voting the Portuguese people have identified, for each of the districts, what they consider extraordinary at various levels.
